The One Universal Meaning of ACROSS
ACROSS = Movement from one side to the other, crossing a surface or barrier. Think of it like this:

- IN = Into center
- ABOUT = Many directions
- ABOVE = Higher position
- ACROSS = From one side to the opposite side
Imagine a bridge going across a river, or a line drawn across a page. You start on one side, travel over a surface or through a barrier, and reach the other side
